Dear Rep. Pelosi,

As Speaker of the House, it is very important that you make yourself available to all Americans. Thank you for publishing an email address, AmericanVoices@mail.house.gov, on your main website (http://www.house.gov/pelosi/contact/contact.html) for people to contact you directly in your capacity as Speaker.

Unfortunately, you failed to publish your Speaker email address on your Speaker contact page:

http://speaker.house.gov/contact/

Also you failed to publish your email address as a Representative of your district:

http://www.house.gov/pelosi/contact/contact.html

As Speaker of the House, it is important that you set an excellent example of openness and transparency to other Representatives, most of which also fail to publish their email addresses.

The Sunlight Labs API currently publishes the following email address under your name:

sf.nancy@mail.house.gov

Is this your official Congressional email address? If so, why don't you publish it on your website?

I know that you have email spam issues, but this is not a good reason to not publish a government email address for your constituents. Apparently, you have already published one for yourself as Speaker, albeit not in all the places where it should be published, so why not go all the way and publish one for your constituents.

Please tell the U.S. House Of Representatives to publish their email addresses on their websites and please do the same.

This would be an excellent first step in government transparency.
